Pascon Agan Arluth dates from the 15th century. It is a versified narrative in Cornish of the events of the Passion of the Christ from Palm Sunday to Easter Morning, taken from the four gospels with an addition from the legendary Gospel of Nicodemus.
There are five manuscript copies of the work but the earlist surviving version of the poem, which is claimed to be the original, dates from the fifteenth century and was found in the church of Sancreed.
The drawing on the front cover of a Celtic cross by Les Pierce is based on crosses at Bodmin and Sancreed.
